As an experienced appellate attorney and dedicated practitioner in Child Welfare and Juvenile Law, Garron specializes in guiding clients through the complex process of reunification with their children. He works collaboratively with the Department of Social Services, third-party vendors, and other resources to craft personalized strategies for clients, including rehabilitative plans that support their long-term personal and professional goals. His goal is to provide clear, compassionate guidance, helping families navigate challenging situations while aiming for sustainable, positive outcomes.
In the appellate realm, Garron offers expert counsel in Family and Juvenile Law, including Termination of Parental Rights cases at both the District Court and Appellate levels. With 16 years of trial experience and a decade of appellate practice, he has become a trusted advisor in both criminal and child welfare law. His unwavering commitment to the field has led him to the North Carolina Supreme Court and Court of Appeals multiple times, contributing to important changes in case law surrounding Termination of Parental Rights and Abuse/Neglect/Dependency matters. Garron serves as an appellate attorney for the New Hanover County Department of Social Services and as a conflict attorney for the Cape Fear Guardian ad Litem Association. His practice includes conducting thorough legal research, drafting and filing motions, managing evidence, and delivering oral arguments before the North Carolina Supreme Court. He is well-versed in drafting trial and appellate briefs, and has represented clients in the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
Before joining Michael and Russell, Garron gained valuable experience in Personal Injury, Federal and State Criminal Law, and Workers' Compensation, all while maintaining his focus on Juvenile Law. He continues to manage his solo practice in Juvenile Law in Pender and New Hanover Counties and handles appellate cases across North Carolina. Garron also serves as the appellate arm for Michael and Russell, providing expert appellate representation in Family and Juvenile law across the state.
